This column was great. Personally, I have really liked how some of the athletes have used their press conferences to raise important issues that might rattle organisers or sponsors. For example Lizzie Armitstead talking about sexism and Wiggins raising the issue of safety for cyclists in London, no publicist to prevent them from saying something that might stop them from looking the perfect billboard-ready picture.
